POWER OUTAGES
A power outage occurs when there is loss of supply due to damage or vandalism on our transmission lines which disturbs electricity transmission.
When a power outage occurs, it is important for the customer to report any loss of supply for ZESCO to respond within the quickest possible time in order to restore power.
PLANNED SHUTDOWNS FOR MAINTENANCE
In order to serve you better, Zesco from time to time needs to maintain infrastructure in order to ensure continuity of services. Planned shutdowns are done for maintenance purposes and are necessary to ensure the Zesco infrastructure is always maintained and upgraded
LOAD MANAGEMENT
Load Management is sometimes necessitated if we are not generating enough power to cater for everyone. Zesco may decide to manage how much power is transmitted in order to safeguard its installations and ensure the wheels of the economy continue to run.
